398 WEST RESTAURANT

There are rare moments in life when everything seems like perfection. These moments tend to be remembered vividly and are usually quite emotional (like blasting birdman (the modern day Beethoven) through those amps, always trusted to get those tear ducts flowing). 398 will evoke these exact feelings… the feeling of restaurant euphoria.

Another similar feeling occurred when I was 14, a mere chubby toddler. A belle girl who was in a LTR at the time came over to my room. Lights off, beside my bunk bed we slow danced to ushers "you got it bad" on repeat for what seemed like hours. That night she touched me in places I didn’t know I had, inappropriately (or appropriately depending on how you look at it) she got my jets going “manually” for the very first time. Now before your brain starts comprehending fully what you’ve just read and start realizing how distasteful it was to compare one of Toronto’s best restaurants to a hand release, we’ll move on…

398 West is my favorite restaurant. It’s an uptown steakhouse & sushi bar. The rib eye steak is so incredibly delicious, it can make a nun break her sacred oath and leave the nunnery. If it’s not the best steak in the city then it’s within the top 3 steak houses. The sushi is wetter than my ex’s moms mitt...early morning, pre starbs & yoga. This is hands down the best sushi in Toronto and prepared by the very talented Yonton who is like Mr. Miyagi from the Karate Kid on steroids. Some of my favorite rolls are the Tex Mex, 398 special, Rabbi and Yonton Roll. The burger is beautiful served moist with a fried onion ring, chipotle mayo and corned beef on top. As for appetizers if the sushi in itself isn’t perfect enough, the beef cross rib smothered in bbq sauce is guaranteed to get the job done. Sides of the chive mashed tats, hand cut fries and veggies are an awesome compliment to any meal. Really everything on the menu is high quality and worth tasting (like taking your pick in a harem packed with victors secret models but thankfully without running the risk of contracting diseases such as syphilis, Gonorrhea, Herpes, Chlamydia, Genital Warts, Pubic lice ect)

398 West offers an eclectic variety of luxury tastes and mouth watering flavors. The atmosphere is upscale class with gorgeous wood finishes, stylish, comfortable and relaxing. The service is better than a well taught steady on her knees. Armed with an impressive arsenal of the best steaks & the best sushi the city has to offer, this definitely makes 398 West one of Toronto’s top heavy league contenders. The Rocky Balboa of Toronto restaurants… Oh and btw did I mention it also happens to be kosher! ;)
